Edmonton Green Shopping Centre goes under cover with Encasement
The latest £1.5 million facelift at London’s Edmonton Green Shopping Centre has involved the installation of 54 Polyma GRP column casings from Encasement to give a softer image to its South Mall, while providing added protection to the centre’s existing square canopy supporting columns.
Edmonton Green is a community shopping hub that currently provides approximately 450,000 sq.ft of floor space for a diverse range of business and residential use consisting of 120 retail and restaurant units, together with 40 market stalls and 750 residential units as well as a hotel and office space.
As part of the ongoing investment in the centre Encasement Polyma casings have been used to help enhance the centre for shoppers by covering the lower section of the structural steelwork used to support the pedestrian canopy.
Finished in gloss white, each of the 200mm diameter column casings stand 1000mm high and are not only weather resistant, but also ideal for use in high traffic areas as they’re capable of withstanding scuffs and damage.
