London Gatwick Airport’s South Terminal departure lounge and retail area is using 27 ‘Circa’ column casings to conceal structural steelwork while adding style to the £40 million refurbishment and upgrading project.

Manufactured from durable and tough 12 mm thick pre-formed plywood, the 800mm diameter Circa casings range in height from 3.3 to 7.5 metres. The upper part of each casing is finished using a Formica® FR grade real wood laminate, while the lower 1.2 metre section is finished with brushed stainless steel, incorporating flush fitting aluminium feature joints.
